Pascal Boeuf

Chief Investment Officer, Executive Committee Member

With investing there is often a fine line between certainty and uncertainty. Being too certain, as an investment manager, can often be a disadvantage. I believe good investment managers are humble, learn from their mistakes and need to be open-minded as well as questioning. At Woodman, it is important to us, that the investment team consists of independent thinkers who are not over-influenced by, and often willing to challenge, conventional wisdom.

Pascal is a well-seasoned investment manager with more than 23 years of experience. Prior to joining Woodman, Pascal was Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS Asset Management and Head of the German Equities team, based in London, Zurich and Frankfurt. As Lead Portfolio Manager he managed a number of Pan European Small and Mid-Cap mandates, which established the strongest short, medium and long term track record across the global SMID cap product range at UBS. During his time at UBS, these strategies saw significant asset inflows and new fund launches. His clients have included sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, UHNW individuals, banks and retail investors. Before joining UBS in London, Pascal was a Portfolio Manager at a boutique asset management group, which he founded in London with former colleagues from Salomon Brothers. Pascal started his career in corporate finance advising on mergers and acquisitions at Salomon Brothers and Hill Samuel. Pascal has spent more than 16 years in London.

Pascal has a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College in London and is a CFA charter holder.
